Privacy Notice

1. Controller

2. Categories of personal data

We process: account and sign-in profile data (including email and, if you use Google, profile identifiers supplied by the identity provider); submitted reel URLs; personal library and folder data; credit balance and ledger; technical logs; and payment identifiers held by the payment provider (Stripe). We do not store card numbers.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to provide the contract (account, recipe library, credits, support), to operate and secure the service (legitimate interests), and where required by law (including tax and accounting records). We do not run advertising or product-analytics tracking at launch.

4. Recipients and processors

We use: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments and tax calculation at hosted checkout), Amazon Web Services DynamoDB (application data in the United States), Cloudflare R2 (recipe preview images), Vercel (hosting), and the generation vendor that downloads public reel media, transcribes it, and structures recipes. Those providers act as processors or independent controllers as described in their terms.

5. International transfers

Data is transferred to the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area, including through Clerk, Stripe, AWS, Cloudflare, and Vercel. Transfers rely on the providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses and other safeguards they publish. You can ask us for more detail at the privacy contact.

6. Retention

If you delete your account, we erase personal account data and your personal library (including folders, assignments, credit balance, ledger, and the legal-acceptance record). Unused credits are forfeited and are not cashed out. Payment and accounting records may be kept for the required accounting period. Shared recipes derived from submitted public URLs may remain without your personal association.

7. Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection as provided by GDPR. You can correct some account details in Settings. For access or a structured export, email contact@reel-to-recipe.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

8. Supervisory authority (UODO)

You may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, Poland, https://uodo.gov.pl/.

9. California residents

We collect the categories described above for the purposes described above. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not honour browser Do Not Track (DNT) signals because we do not use advertising or product-analytics tracking cookies; DNT therefore has no additional effect on this service. 10. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary authentication and session cookies set by Clerk so you can sign in and stay signed in. They are used to identify your session, typically last for the session or the duration Clerk configures for authentication, and are required for the service to function.

You can block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in. We do not set analytics or marketing cookies and we do not show a cookie-consent banner.
